Unintended Consequences of Short-Term Global Health Activities: Impacts on Local Health Systems, Lessons from Latin America
Join health sector leaders in Bolivia, Ecuador and Guatemala to discuss perspectives on short-term global health activities, such as medical missions, global health programs, and volunteering, on local health systems and longitudinal efforts.

Research Work Group
The Collaborative’s research work group is a subgroup of our Knowledge Mobilization action team and is for any current users of the global engagement survey who are conducting research on responses from their institution and others. We make available the data set from previous years and non-anonymized responses to researchers who adhere to our data ethics. At quarterly meetings we share emerging results, questions, and challenges.

Fair Trade Learning and Toolkit Development and Dissemination Action Team
Advocates for, and advances fair trade learning standards. Further develops and disseminates the Global Solidarity and Local Actions Toolkit. Ensures strong connection with knowledge mobilization team.
We will open the nomination process for this and all actions teams on May 1, 2025, for onboarding in June.

Knowledge Mobilization Action Team
Attends to the learning and knowledge creation needs of the wider scholar-practitioner community in service of the Collaborative’s mission, strategic goals, and principles. Includes developing and curating awards, blog, podcast, and webinars. This team meets quarterly with our research team to consider avenues for mobilization of findings of the Global Engagement Survey.
